Myo Place Therapy LLC was founded by Heather Connelly and Eugenia (Geena) Chen Caputo, two speech-language pathologists who had a dream of providing quality comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment to their clients while giving them the time and attention that they deserve! Heather and Geena value a team approach and collaborate with clients and their families, doctors, dentists, and other therapists across the Chicagoland area to provide the best quality services possible. Services are offered in their clinic in Lombard, IL or via teletherapy.
Meet our Team
Eugenia (Geena) Chen Caputo
MA, CCC-SLP, COM®
Geena is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and orofacial myofunctional therapist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of ASHA, the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (ISHA), and the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Geena completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences where she was first trained in myofunctional therapy. Geena specializes in the areas of oral sensory-motor, feeding and swallowing, articulation, phonology, and childhood apraxia of speech. She has additional training in tethered oral tissues and evaluates and treats oral function skills that are adversely impacted as a result. Geena has a passion for improving an individual’s oral function skills for communication, feeding and swallowing, and orofacial development and works hard to strengthen and maximize their skills. She is an experienced clinician who works with infants, children, and adults. Geena is continually seeking to stay current in her skills in order to provide the best care possible and is a 5-time recipient of the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE).
Outside of being a speech-language pathologist, Geena enjoys doing anything with her family, traveling, reading, and trying out new restaurants.
Heather Connelly
MS, CCC-SLP, COM®
Heather is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and a Certified Orofacial Myologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of ASHA and the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Heather completed her undergraduate degree at Elmhurst College and Master of Science Degree at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She worked in a pediatric outpatient therapy clinic for 3 years, then transitioned to the pediatric outpatient therapy department at a local hospital where she worked for 10 years. Heather has extensive training and experience in the evaluation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent feeding and swallowing disorders as well as pediatric and adult orofacial myofunctional disorders. Additionally, she has training in tethered oral tissues and can evaluate how they impact function for communication as well as feeding and swallowing. Heather strives to provide a personalized experience for each and every client and prides herself in strong clinical outcomes. She is a 4-time recipient of the ASHA award for continuing education (ACE).

When not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and enjoying the outdoors.
Molly Eirinberg
MA, CCC-SLP
Molly is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of ASHA. She graduated with her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University and completed her Clinical Fellowship Year in New York City under the supervision of an IAOM Board Certified Orofacial Myologist at a private pediatric clinic. She has completed the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) certification course in orofacial myology and is on track to becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist through the IAOM. In addition, she has specialty training in PROMPT and DTTC for working with clients who have difficulties with motor planning/apraxia. Molly is accepting new clients from the ages of 18 months-adult.
Tess Valente
MS, CCC-SLP
Tess is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of ASHA. Tess received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s degree from Northwestern University. She has worked in a variety of settings (including public schools, inpatient rehabilitation, and skilled nursing) and has worked with preschool-aged to adult clients. Tess has extensive experience working with children with speech, language, and fluency disorders. Additionally, she has completed the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) certification course in orofacial myology and is on track to becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist through the IAOM. Tess is accepting new clients from the ages of 18 months-adult.
When Tess is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting.
